Te Waka Whaiora Trust

The purpose of Te Waka Whaiora Trust ("Trust") is to contribute towards achieving optimal health and wellbeing in our local communities within the wider Wellington Region through: * provision of accommodation services for Tangata Whaiora which upholds Maori value, kaupapa and nga tikanga Maori; * provision of quality mental health services such as peer support and advocacy services, working to promote increased access for Tangata Whaiora to services they need and access to opportunities * working in partnership with, and foster networks among mental health workers who provide services to Tangata Whaiora and their whanau, to demonstrate commitment to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improve the quality and cultural safety of such services
