Purchase of wetland, riparian and eroding hill country land for planting into native afforestation. Preservation and protection of areas of natural environment, landscape amenity, wildlife/freshwater/marine-life habitat of the land .Protection and enlarging of the ecological value of the land. Provision of suitable habitat on the land for bird life. Covenanting of land under sec 77 of Reserves Act 1977 to further its activities. Any other purposes which are charitable according to the law of NZ.
